subject: Protocols?

Is there a NetBEUI protocol available for OS/2? I was told NetBIOS on OS/2
would talk to NetBEUI in Windows, but OS/2's Requester refused to start at
all with NetBIOS (some crap able a faulty cable). I tried TCP/IP and NetBIOS
over TCP/IP, Requester started fine, but neither computer could see each
other.
If there is NetBEUI for OS/2, or a better OS/2 Windows networking
solution, I'd really like to know about it.
Both machines are back with Windows, which is NOT what I wanted.... :(
Oh, if it matters, I'm using two 3COM Etherlink III (ISA) cards. I thought
it may have been the card's PnP that was confusing OS/2, but it detects the
card OK, installs the drivers and the network starts OK (using NetBIOS/TCPIP)
so it's not that.
Thanks all.
