I know what you mean.  Both of our cars are metric,  the truck is SAE. 
Except for the one wheel cylinder I replaced,  which is 10mm.  The only
metric fitting on the whole vehicle...

I've already spent way too much money on tools,  and hadn't planned to stop
just yet.  They're only making it worse...
