Old versions of pktjoin did nothing.  A new version which I gave
Dieter did full error checking.  

The trick is to always have $3 worth of disk space dedicated to a
task where you spend hundreds of man hours each year processing.

I am under the impression that PKT2QWK reports an error, but I
don't know.  BFN.  Paul.
