If it was indeed "MAYBE" then there would be little point in
including it in the spec. We either opt to retain it, making it REQUIRED or
loose it all together

In essence treat the tearline as part of the origin. Assuming my proposal
the end of user text would be marked by:
(1:2/3.4{at}fidonet)
(EL = end of line, any of the CR NL combos)
3 dashes anywhere else would simply be user text.
ml> then you would never get this message -=;-)
True ;) I'm not worried either way for a tear line...
