Note: EMX/GCC 0.9b (with Fix 03) is the latest. Just thought you may want
to know. ;-)

If you're 'porting' a DOS-BC++ program, you may actually have C++ in there.

GDB> I've decided for my first task to take a set of code written for BC++

Question: Is this a DOS, OS/2, or Windows program that you're 'converting'?

Perhaps you could post parts that are giving you problems...

:-)

GDB> Question: how do I get GCC to allow re-directing the error output to a

Redirection of GCC's stderr? "gcc [options] >& file"
works here, but I'm using 4OS2.

Used in file finds. That's a DOS-ism, and is not quite available under
OS/2. (Well, it kinda is, but you have to start using API functions, I
believe.)

GDB> Question: What is _setcursortype() function in BC++? Is there an

Again, this is a DOS-ism. In OS/2, it's done via API calls. For this one,
the API calls are given in PRCP.INF which is freely available in many
places. I'll give you a chance to look locally before looking at FREQ'ing
it or anything. (I don't happen to know of a place on the internet to get
it from, offhand. However, anyone with Watcom 10.5 has a copy of it with
their compiler... this INF file is actually free and can be shared.)
