| subject: | Child MDI Icon In OWL |

He's done far more fighting with MDI under OWL than he ever dreamed was possible. I assume you will have to subclass the child and intercept the "minimize" message, but he'll know for sure what the solution is. I can recommend Tom Swan's (Windows-oriented) OWL book, which is the only book I ever have actually seen devoted entirely to OWL: TITLE : OBJECT WINDOWS 2.O PROGRAMMING [ 1.0 ed] AUTHOR: SWAN ORDER#: DZ479413 ISBN #: 0679791213 PUB BY: RANDOM HOUSE INC. YEAR : Oct 1992 SUBJCT: BORLAND C++ PRICE : $ 44.00 There is one other book listed about OWL, but I have never seen it myself: TITLE : OBJECT WINDOWS F C++ [ 1.0 ed] AUTHOR: TRAISTER ORDER#: DZ529563 ISBN #: 0126974152 PUB BY: ACADEMIC PRESS YEAR : Jul 1993 SUBJCT: BORLAND C++ PRICE : $ 39.95 There is one fairly decent book which has extensive coverage of OWL in some very useful ways, but it is severely hurt by the publisher's stupid "21 days equals 21 chapters" format: TITLE : TEACH YOURSELF BORLAND C++ 4.5 21 DAY 2E [ 2.0 ed] AUTHOR: SHAMMAS ET AL ORDER#: DZ638790 ISBN #: 0672305984 PUB BY: MACMILLAN COMPUTER PUBL--QUE/SAM/NRP YEAR : Oct 1994 SUBJCT: BORLAND C++ PRICE : $ 29.99 All of the above listings, of course, are courtesy of Computer Literacy Bookshops, http://www.clbooks.com, mailto:sales{at}clbooks.com, (703)734-7772 (eastern U.S. and Europe) and (408)435-0744 (western U.S. and Asia). -- Mike ---* Origin: N1BEE BBS +1 401 944 8498 V.34/V.FC/V.32bis/HST16.8 (1:323/107) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 955 SEEN-BY: 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 323/107 170/400 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
