Tom,
TW> Uncommon? [Awwcommon ] Well, it happened to me too. When these Wild
TW> AG's showed up, not more than 3 months went by before they laid 5
infertile
TW> eggs, 4 more in a month later. I was beginning to think that being
TW> unsettled caused the female to lay eggs and the male to not mate ...
O.K. You may be right...maybe not. The Scarlets have two eggs that I
discovered this morning. So, we'll see. Course I don't know when they were
laid.
TW> BTW, enjoyed your article in Beakers! the article was informative and
Thanks. I haven't seen it. How did you get your Beakers so soon, huh? Guess
the burro gets to your house first.
TW> your other (smaller?) birds would reuse some of the nests instead of
TW> nestboxes?
Don't think so. There seem to be birds that nest in nests and then those that
nest in cavaties. then there are those that nest on the rocks...like some
Scarlets..and some that nest on the ground, and others........shall I go on.
It is starting to sound like a song.
