Hi All!
Around five months ago I decided that it was time to go digital. After all -
there are so many benefits arn't there???
During the week me and a few people from work decided that we would goto
France
for the weekend. I thought "not a problem - if anybody needs to get hold of
me
they can"...WRONG!
I called my Service Prodiver (Cellphones Direct - Vodafone), just to confirm
that there wouldn't be a problem, to discover that they want a cheque as a
deposit before activating my roaming agreement.
I ummed and arrged for a bit and decided that It would be worth it as its
nly
a "deposit". I called them again - just to confirm that I understood that
they
just wanted the deposit, to be told that it would cost an additional œ5 for
every four week period that I used the phone abroad.
Deeply pissed of at this (as if their call charges wen't enought!), I tore up
the cheque and thought nothing of it..
How gutted do you think I felt when my mate brought his phone (cellnet) and
didn't have to do nothing. Even he was supprised that it worked (after
knowing
all the calls I have to make..)
For peace of mind - please could you tell me the following:
     1) What mobile phone company you use
     2) What Service Provider you use
     3) What charges / Deposits you need to make before roaming agreement is
activated...
THANKS!
