I don't think it's anything you said. I think it's more a general
attitude of most (and notice I said most, not all) bass boat owners and
dealers, that if you aren't a bass fisherman or if it ain't a bass boat. Then
you ain't sh#%.
I went to bunches of dealers around Dallas looking at pontoon boats and
every single dealer I went to that sold primarily bass boats, couldn't have
cared less whether I bought a boat from them or not. Because I wasn't
interested in the all mighty, sacred, made by GOD just for them bass boat.
It also seems to be a very common practice for bass boat owners to put
the largest powerplant they can find on their boat. Just so they can get
there real fast and sit longer. Almost like it's one of the Ten Commandments.
It isn't you. It's bass people in general. And it seems to be nationwide.
Maybe it's just me (I don't know) but why does a boat that sits all day
fishing for fish need such a gosh awfully powerful engine? Do you have to
sleep until 5 minutes before entry deadline and then race to get there on
time?
