The stuff I have is copper-colored. I meant to check it out with a meter and see if it was in fact conductive electrically as well as doing its mechanical function. At the time I was dealing with wipers that had gotten flaky, and then stopped working altogether when I needed them. The trouble there turned out to be rust on the bolt and flat surfaces where the wiper motor took its ground connection. A wire brush and swapping the bolt out with one of the other three fixed the problem quite nicely. I never did test the stuff as I couldn't find it, it's around someplace, but I have stuff up here, stuff in the trunk of the car, stuff in the back of the truck, stuff in the shed... I look forward to when we get situated and I have a garage to put all that stuff in! ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
