Ahh.. in '93 I was an avid user of BBSs. It wasn't until '95 that I got
my own RA board online. I was a co-sysop on a local RA board before
that called Burnaby Mountain Remote. That BBS had an large message base
and a huge (at the time) filebase. I used to make description files for
uploads. There were a lot of uploads on that board, if you wanted to
download you either paid for a subscription or used upload credits. It
worked well at the time.

I've used RA, and Maximus extensively, and lately Synchronet. I was also
part of the Telegard beta team at one time. Wonderful experience.

Yep, the tables have turned (quite a few years ago I guess). It'd be pretty
hard to get sales for a BBS package today I think. Anyone who is still
running a BBS must be doing it purely as a hobby. I can't see anyone
finacially supporting a BBS today so the Sysop will have to pay the cost
out of his/her pocket without expecting any help with those costs.

Still, RA is a great package and I never regretted the investment I made.

BMTMicro may have decided to delist those products if they haven't had
any activity in a certain amount of time, I dunno.

I do keep an eye on the rapro website once in a while to see if there was
anything new, but I haven't seen any changes in quite a while.

 Ttyl :-),

... There's always one more bug.
