Title: Bread Pudding

Yield: 6 Servings
2 c Milk
2 c Stale Oatmeal Raisin bread
Recipe to follow
1/4 c Butter or margarine
2 ea Eggs beaten
1/3 c Granulated sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Raisins
1/2 ts Cinnamon
Measure milk into heavy saucepan. Heat until almost boiling. Add
bread cubes and butter. Remove from heat.
Stir in eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and raisins. Add cinnamon or
nutmeg. Turn into a casserole dish and bake uncovered at 350 for 45
minutes until set. Serve with cream or ice cream or Al's delicious
idea Maple syrup. Variation use brown sugar instead of white.
Variation For a less custardy pudding double the amount of bread.
NB. I used both variations and I preferred it that way.

1 1/4 c Water
1/4 c Dry milk
2 tb Honey
1 tb Margarine or butter
1 1/2 ts Salt
3 c Bread flour
1 1/2 ts Yeast
1/2 c Old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 c Raisins
MMMMM------------------------2 POUND LOAF-----------------------------
1 1/2 c Water
1/3 c Dry milk
3 tb Honey
2 tb Margarine or butter
2 ts Salt
4 c Bread flour
2 ts Yeast
3/4 c Old fashioned rolled oats
3/4 c Raisins
Place all ingredients except oats and raisins in bread machine pan in
order specified by owners manual. Use basic cycle and press start.
Add raisins and oats at beep or at end of first kneading cycle.
