As  posted here yesterday, the newest trunked systems are digital.  I forsee 
an absolute nightmare for for the agencies that install them though.  There 
is a very high "learning curve" and they are *not* the panacea that the 
manufacturers make them out to be.  It's hard enough keeping an analog system 
running at top efficiency - let alone digital - which has it's own problems 
on top of the familiar analog ones.
