Not really.  On my home-lan I just wrote a small cmd-file which calls login 
with the right parameters including my username and password, and put it in 
the startup folder.  I don't see the requester box, and by the time that the 
system is ready to run, the requester has finished.  I still wonder _why_ it 
is so slow, especially compared with the similar code in Win95, but that 
might be due to the code having been rewritten to allow a rapid startup.

Certainly not!  If it ain't broke and all that.
By the way:  Do you have an explanation why the requester takes so long, so 
that I can understand why the timings have been chosen as they have.
