Oh boy! Another convert. Potential one!

Can you sew a straight line? If so then you can make a quilt block! There
are many easy ones for beginners: Nine Patch, Rail Fence, Pinwheel, just to
name a few. Greenhorns are welcome in the exchange. We don't hold it
gainst
you!
GC> Would you mind posting the rules etc to me?
The rules as I can remember them (I am not the coordinator of the exchange)
is that the winner posts her choice of block, colors, and address. If she
picks a particular block then she has to post the pattern too. Participants
make the block using 100% cottons (unless the winner states otherwise), signs
it with Pigma type pens, and mails it to the winner by the end of the month.
At the end of the month a new winner is chosen from the participants who
haven't won in the last few months (six months if possible). The process
starts all over at this point.
The QBE was won by me. I chose a 12 1/2" unfinished (that means after being
sewn into the quilt the block will be 12". There is a 1/4" seam allowance on
all four sides.) block done in any pattern you want to try. My colors are
purples and creams. If you don't have my address and decide to make a block
let me know and I will send it to you.
Maureen Hoffman won the MQBE which is the mini quilt block exchange. Mini
blocks are usually 4 to 6" finished size and might be a little difficult for
a new quilter to do. However, if you are interested give Maureen a shout and
she will tell you what she wants. I am running behind this month and haven't
had the time to make the blocks due to being on vacation last week.
Later!,
Pat
