RvdW> WaterGate contains a lot of correcting code for dates. Both
RvdW> for FidoNet and for RFC.
ml> pardon me but... WHY!!!!!!!???????????????
ml> it's not up to you to wipe other people's arses is it? if they don't know
ml> that they have dingle berries hanging from their arse, then they won't ever
ml> learn to wipe thier arse clean but will instead rely on someone else to
ml> wipe it for them. this is beneficial to the network?? no way... it keeps
ml> the dingle berries hanging about in the way and prevents forward motion to
ml> the future...
ml> help stomp out dingle berries and hand holding... DO NOT code around other
ml> people's bugs!!!
What does the mailprocessor you use do?
1. Send out of spec mail to your downlinks (using the rather lame excuse
that it was someone else's fault, you're just following orders).
2. Fix the dates.
3. Bounce the out-of-spec mail, informing the originator.
4. Delete the out-of-spec mail without informing anyone.
It's a tough choice to make, with no ruling from the FTSC about what we're
meant to be doing.
??? BFN. Paul.
