There was an article written in BT a while back, the author from Calif.
mentioned the green Tiel's, and the fact that he has them on video. His
name was Dave Okura and the number is (714)827-3447
This isn't really hard to believe in the possibility if you have ever
felt the feather structure on a true silver. It was always believed that
for green to happen in the Tiel's that there would have to be a change in
the feather structure, and the Silver's do demonstrate that difference
with a softer downey type feeling (almost like a velvet feel)
When I first got a pair of the Silvers (WF) I noticed this and called
the Breeder Judge Carl Helton and asked him about it, he confirmed that
this was true. There have in the past been a few references to Green
Tiel's and either health or lighting was the tossed out explination, I
do not know if Dave Okura is considered an authority or his credentials,
but you could probably give him a call and decide for yourself.
If I had not noticed a difference in feather structure on my Silvers, I
would be more inclined to doubt the possiblility, but I think with all
the newer mutations, and variations, that anything is possible. I do not
think however we will see any Green Tiel's out and around for many years
if indeed they do exist as a mutation.
