 In 1990 the median income for families was about $35K/yr. In
 2005 it was $56K/yr. Yet if you adjust for inflation the median
 was lower in 2005 than in 1990. The median income for families
 peaked in 2000. So, you may pay less in taxes today, but
 adjusted for inflation it isn't that much less, and the bills
 were getting paid in 2000. In 2008 the deficit is going up and
 up and the debt is exploding.

 So, you paid more, but you paid the bill you grandchildren would
 not have inherited, had Bush not given you lower taxes.
