Bad thing about cleaner tapes is they push dirt built up to the edge of tape path and cause trouble. I clean the head first with plain isoprpyl and cotton swabs also keeping an eye out for strands left behind. Always when cleaning the video head swap in either the direction of tape travel or the reverse _never_ up and down.
