I'm not totally sold on airbags. I realise that they're a fact of the
Nanny State protecting its wallet. IMO the best saftey device besides a
cop car in your rear view mirror is the nut holding the wheel.
I just placed an "Aisles Online" order with HyVee. Besides my usual pantry
staples I scored 2 10# bags of leg quarters @ 39c/lb - one for Chez Dirty
and the other for my brother and his bride. I'll soon be restocked on
schmaltz, skin for gibenes, shredded chicken for chicken & noodles, soup,
etc. And the mutts will be in heaven after I finish with the stock making
and let them have the bones.
HyVee's deal is that if you order U$30 worth of grub/supplies they will
pick your order for you and trot it out to your ride and put it in the
trunk/bed. Sure saves a lot of trudging through the store. Bv)=

Title: Eve's Chicken Quarters

Yield: 4 servings
4 Chicken leg quarters
4 1/2 oz Box instant long grain &
- wild rice
2 c Water
10 3/4 oz Can cream of chicken soup
8 oz Dairy sour cream
2 cl Garlic; crushed
1 tb Minced garlic
1 c Chopped broccoli
Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.
Place chicken quarters in a 9" x 13" baking dish and
bake, covered, for 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine rice and seasoning
packages, water, soup, sour cream, crushed garlic,
minced garlic and broccoli. Mix well.
Remove chicken to a platter and drain oil. Spread rice
mixture in the bottom of the baking dish, then arrange
chicken on top of rice. Bake uncovered for 30 to 45
minutes, or until wild rice is opened up and liquid is
absorbed.
