Nope, not according to Supras docs.

Note the use of 'line monitor reading'

BG> %E1 responds, but doesn't initiate, while %E2 does not

It accepts %E2 fine, refuses %E3 with ERROR and using %E0 makes no
difference, you can still see the retrains on the front of the modem.
