At least the basics of most I understand... From a young child on I
always looked into things.

Maby in a population center such as you have there that's fine. You have
to remember MOST here on this echo are from rural America. Where yer
lucky to screech out 19,2 on the phone lines with out having errors
every 5 blocks... On a clear day maby 36... with every other block bad.
Many of us have to use OIL or Bottle Gas to heat our homes... They don't
run FIBER-OPTICS cables out here either. The nearest I-NET provider is
20 to 30 miles away. Not just down the block. So there is a LD charge
involved even to get to AOL... But then too here when the neighbor down
a few blocks has his house burn down I'll go and help put it out. I
don't have to be evacuated cuz my place may burn too... Trade offs I
guess... Kinda brings me back to the old days... My Dad is BIGGER than
yer Dad... Or my Stereo has more watts than yers... So what! Who givs a
rats but! We do what we can in rural America. And if that means using a
box wrench insted of an impact air wrench so be it. It's called OLD
FASION AMERICAN KNOW HOW... And TAKING PRIDE IN OUR WORK...

So any way... Who gets the SCANNER OF THE YEAR AWARD this year so far???
  Rocky
