I came across a tip a while back for this. It works in Netscape 3, and I
imagine for most any other browser too, but can't say for sure.
Set the cookies.txt file to readonly. That way the other machine *thinks* it
is writing to cookies.txt, and I don't have to put up with those annoying "Do
you want to allow this cookie to be set?" messages, nor do I have to accept
some asshole using *my* computer for *his* use. :)
