WC> killed brown recluse poisonous spiders, I was the first person in my 'universe' to even know about the brown recluse spiders. Stumbled onto them after a suggestion to view a website about Australian spiders. The BR spider is being 'tracked' as it tries to move north in the USA. I think six bites total were reported in Michigan last time I checked. The BR migration is somewhat 'stalled' in Ohio somewhere. :-) I did mention to my daughters that having been raised in Michigan they would have to change many 'habits'. In Michigan if we think something is under a dresser we just reach under and 'fish around' for it. Not good in the South (it's where BR spider like to hide among other places). Also not shaking out shoes and not sitting in grass without looking for fire ants. In Michigan, if you avoid the tall grass (weeds), you'r generally not insect bait. One poisonous snake, masauga(sp?), that I have never seen but I don't wander in the woods. WC> nearly got sucked into oblivion in some quicksand In Michigan we have 'sink holes' in the woods that a friend stepped into once. He was lucky he didn't drop his shotgun. He used it to leverage his way back to solid ground. WC> and suffered in hostile work environments in our _right to WC> work state_. Worker safety is a bad joke. I clipped the end of my finger off (they sewed it back on at the hospital) in a manuf job when I was quite young and the 'safety engineer' told me every young man they put on that job eventually was injured. Then "duh - fix it" was my attitude. They fired me shortly after that and I couldn't get another job till the finger healed. Neat huh? WC> The state motto ought to be "Florida, the toxic state", but WC> I guess for the time being Texas has the lock on that one WC> from what I've read about the place. I think anyone who really cares and takes the time to check would find that this is not "the land of the free and the home of the brave" advertised to us. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
