That is true to an extent.

Say echomail normally goes 711/934 - 711/808 - 711/555 - 711/444.
Now 711/808 is down for some time, so I start sending mail to 711/444
myself.  I presume you still want 711/808 to get a copy, for when he
comes up again, so I will still be exporting it to him.  Now 711/808
comes up again, and gets all my messages.  He can see that 711/555 has
not seen them yet, so he sends them on, and 711/444 gets dupes, and
there is a good chance that he will send the dupes on to his
downstream, 711/333.  Now, before you say "why don't I feed 711/555
instead of 711/444", you should be aware that mail also goes
711/808 - 711/111.  And 711/808 - 711/222 too.  BFN.  Paul.
