TL> Oh my...sorry about that....the BBS(BBBS) is located at TL> www.fidonet.us:8080 Thanks! Using this info, I was able to find the Telnet link.... TL> In all honesty, while the BBBS works, I think it is a terrible TL> way to get internet users introduced to Fidonet. The interface TL> is kludgy, the commands are cumbersome, etc. BBBS isn't so bad.... It has EMacs for an editor. You can configure your own login. It has an online help system manual. It is very DLG-Pro BBS-like. Its best feature is that it has a built-in FidoNET nodelist displayer (which comes in very handy if you are one of the FidoNET HomePages). You can pull out network tables with a single "grep", A LA -- BR 1:101 -- for example. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an "add a BBS" section for new BBSes, the way that the Synchronet external SBL SYNCDATA Door does, but you wouldn't want "Joe's Pirate Website" listed on an official FidoNET site, anyway! You could do worse than BBBS. --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d* Origin: Chowdanet (401-331-0615) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 323/120 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
