sorry to hear about your miss-hap...hope your skin heals fast and the
bruises go away... anyway, about helmets, i wear mine 99 percent of the
time (i know it should be 100%) and i haven't needed it _YET_, and thats
the key word, _YET_.... circumstances happen on a law of averages, the
more i ride my bike the more likely it will be that i meet a car or
pavement WHILE riding my bike... if i don't ever ride my bike it won't
happen WHILE i riding my bike, but some other time instead (now this is
beginging to sound like gibberish) anyways, you should wear your helmet
as you never know what is going to happen and you know that you look
better wearing a helmet while on a bike rather than wearing it just
walking around :) maybe we should ride our bikes all the time so we can
look normal and still be protected... :) anyways, another story to wear
a helmet... a guy i used to hang out with was riding his bike when he lost
control over some slippery pavement and went down, wham... didn't hit his
head, but rather had it run over by a car... now normaly his head would
have went POP like a melon dropped from a fair height, but he was wearing
his brain bucket (helmet) and instead ended up with a minor bruise to a
limb, a hair raising story and a neat looking helmet (the tread came out
nicely)... so you don't even have to hit your head to get seriously
injured, someone else may be willing to do it for you...
anyways, i'll sign off now, before i have a chance to make sense.. :>
(sorry, it's been a long night, and i need SLEEP!)
