Bob, at 08:50 on May 23 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...

BL> You are wrong.

BG> ROFL! Excuse me?

BL> You explained that Chandlers imported Samsung VCRs directly.

Correct. Rebadged as the TechnoVision VB-520T.

BL> Where did you get Goldstar VCRs in 1988 when we had exclusivity for their
BL> *first* VCR in 1990?

Maybe, like most Asians, they were telling you monstrous porkies.

BG> again, the GVH-1246 Goldstar was being sold by Chandlers (and
BG> everybody else, I suppose) in 1988. There was a Tandy rebadge
BG> of the same model too, and at the same time.

BL> You obviously believe these were Goldstar VCRs and perhaps they were.

Absolutely NO doubt about it. And just quietly, they were a contributing
reason for my pissing off from Chandlers the first time (although for
reasons I still haven't fathomed, I returned 2 years later).

BL> Or perhaps they were something else.

Nope, definitely not. You could always ring Chandlers up here and ask. :)

BL> I only know what I have already stated, and we were dealing with Lucky
BL> Goldstar Corporation direct.

Sure it wasn't the Lackey Goldstar Corporation instead?

BG> If I had a stand-alone fax, I'd send you the copyright page
BG> from the manual, which clearly states 1987.

BL> You did better at Chandlers than we did in 1990. They didn't even
BL> have a manual.

We only ever had the one at work for some years, and boy, was it dog-eared
after just a few months.

Regards, Bill
