I'm not familiar with it. The range of imported beers here is quite
limited.

I've made it with fresh, not canned, beans and liked it.

      Title: Green Beans in Beer Sauce
 Categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Bacon, Beer
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
  1 1/2 lb Green beans
    1/2 c  Beer
    1/2 c  Butter
    1/4 c  White vinegar
    1/4 c  Brown sugar
      1 tb Onion, minced
      2 tb Cornstarch
    1/2 lb Crisp bacon, crumbled
           Salt and pepper
 
  Wash beans and slice on the diagonal into 1 inch pieces. Place in
  saucepan with beer and butter.  Cook over low heat until crisp
  tender, about 15 minutes. Remove beans with a slotted spoon and
  set aside. Combine vinegar, sugar, onion and cornstarch.  Stir in
  liquid and cook until thickened. Thin with a little beer if
  necessary. Gently fold in beans, sprinkle with bacon and serve.
