db> (BTW Paul, the 2,400bps connection that seemed to be working then dropped
db> out was because I stopped it.)

That's what I figured.

PE> 3. I decided to set the baud rate to 19200 in Binkley rather than 38400

db> Any particular reason? 38,400bps works fine here.

The reason was the Supra was having trouble, and I wanted to see
if disabling V34 would help, and I chose to lower the speed to
do that. Since that didn't help at all, I put it back to 38400.

PE> To all: Latest problem is that Paul Markham called me with
PE> his other V34 modem and it only connected at 26400.

db> Could this be due to you limiting the speed on the serial port? I know

19200 allows 26400 but not 28800? Anyway, it's set at 38400.
My logs today show that I connected to Dave Hatch at 26400
too, but Bill Grimsley connected to me at 28800.

My logs also show Rod Speed having troubles, another failed
connect that I cannot tell who it is from, other than they
have EMSI capability.

BFN. Paul.
