 How do, Ardith?

JB> Rattling cages I know about.
 AH> I figured you would.... :-))

AH> Yes, that's the spirit! You have potentially many years of
AH> useful life left... and so has Nora. What is appropriate for
AH> others may not be appropriate for either of you, but even
AH> the professionals seem to get into a rut sometimes. Nora

I guess that's to be expected. I was thinking just yesterday how
differently one person can recover from an injury than another. But, how to
standardize the injury would be the chore.

AH> had an OT in rehab, for example, who thought we should buy
AH> a lift-equipped van as a lot of other families had. But
AH> their kids were in some degree of coma resulting from motor
AH> vehicle accidents... meaning they couldn't co-operate with
AH> transfers... and money was no object because the families
AH> handed the bills over to their lawyers. The OT apparently
AH> assumed that was the way things were done, and failed to
AH> take the circumstances into account. She thought I was
AH> nuts when I suggested Nora might be able to walk around a
AH> bit too. But within three days of our homecoming Nora was
AH> walking from the living room to her bedroom.... :-)

Next time Nora's in a struggle, you can tell her your
e-mail buddy's *been there*. I've been rigging my surroundings for *years*
to challenge my abilities. We can't compare apples and oranges, but let her
know her struggles are paralleled, even in some small way.

JB> spring here. I am eager to get out in the weather a
JB> bit, even if I don't get much done.

 AH> Understood.... :-)

And how I wanted to get in the garden today! Yesterdays' outing however,
caught up to me. When will I learn to pace
myself?

AH> Thankyou. We're also busy with other matters at
AH> present. But, as Nora says, "I still have some stories in
 AH> me" & I certainly won't forget you.... ;-)

Onward! <-;

Reply to that backlog at your leisure, but realize we don't have to fix the
world over ASCII. I know the world would be a better place if
only we could convert a larger portion over to Fido, but what can two
people do about that? P-:&

... A plateau is a high form of flattery.
