From the way that I understand things, this country is a Consititutional
republic, and each state must have a rebublican, not democratic,
government. The laws that are passed should limited by the constitution.
States were pretty much free to pass laws until re-construction. At that
time, the fourteenth admendment was added. It defined citizenship,
the jurisdiction of the states, and also limited the laws that states
could pass. Automobiles are private property and should be treated as such.
Here in Tennessee, the constitution says that public property can be
used freely by all. Yet the State government forces licenses on all drivers.
This is extortion and judges will uphold this crap. How can I have respect
for the legislature, judges, or law enforcement? You couldn't pay me a
million dollars to enter law enforcement, because it is a dishonest
profession. FREE means FREE. If you want to drive in my community without
a license it will not offend me because I know what the constitution says
and unlike many others I am honest.
