 In the USA we would say "That's crazy!" but the meaning is the same.

 The weather is cold now. It is snowing. So I wait a few days for
 the weather to warm. Water temperature is 10 degrees centigrade. 
 Carp might begin to bite soon.
... Look! It's a fish! I wonder what kind..
