When they hit their lights and siren, I quickly shoved it up my arse.  :)

In fact, it was mounted in a small and grotty jiffy-box, behind the plastic
grille, and just to the right of the left side headlamp.  I had the piezo
transducer and a power switch hidden beneath the dash (VL commodore, BTW).
