It's VERY obvious where they're going.

Mick (in the past) talks about how he loves being with his family.
Mick appoints himself co-GM.
Mick & Rock kick French ass and good time had by all, including Mick.
Mick gets challanged the match. One time only, Mick will wrestle.
Mick talks to HBK about long layoffs, and the rush the 1st punch
during the 1st match.
HBK talks about his match last year as one-time only, and he got
pulled back in.
Mick smart man.
Mick happy at home.
Mick doesn't want to go on road away from family.
Mick walks out so he won't get yanked in by the thrill of a return
match.
Mick ignored the spit in face so he wouldn't throw the punch to the
face and get off on it.

Simple.

Now, Al Snow can go to Cleveland, looking for Mick, asking the bums
and a planted woman claiming to be Mick's wife where he is. In his
last WWE on-air role, Goldust can find Mick, who now thinks he's a
fisherman, in an alley and fail to convince him to return.

On Valentine's Day, Eric Bishoff receives a wrapped gift. He opens it
to reveal... a cactus! Then, Bischoff can throw Jindrack and Cade in
Foley's way, then Mark Henry in a RAW Roulette match that ends up as a
Salt Lake City Death match, and then finally Foley beats Orton by
smacking him over the head with a snow shovel, leading to Foley/HHH at
WM XX.

Simple. I'm surprised no one thought of bookling along these lines
before... ;-)
