subject: Some changes to FSC-0074

LK> Some minor changes to FSC-0074 that I think improve on it - What do
 LK> you think John?

i'm not john but...

 LK> | 2. Tear Line

LK> | There shall be one tear line in a message. It is placed
LK> | immediately before the origin line, following all user
 LK> | entered information

that should read "There MAY be" ... there is also no way to
determine if a tearline is manually entered by the user or if it is, in
fact, a tearline as used for our purposes...

 LK> | The tear line:

LK> | - Is preceded by an empty line

LK> | - Shall begin with the three character literal:

 LK> | ---

LK> | - Optionally followed, seperated by a space, by
LK> | implementation specific product data - program,
LK> | version, registration etc in the ASCII range 32
 LK> | to 126.

LK> | - Shall be no more than 35 characters in total length

LK> | - The optional data is mutually exclusive with the ^APID:
 LK> | kludge (FSC-0046).

this seems to be ok but you still have not told how to tell if it is user
entered or not... again, it is not needed... if it was =necessary= then you
would never get this message -=;-)
