It's a Netcomm PCMCIA modem. And before anyone makes any snide remarks
about Netcomms, it was the only v.34 PCMCIA modem I could find at the
time!!



Still not sure what's happening with the 2400 baud connects I was getting
monday night. If I drop the maximum speed to 14,400 it connects ok. Maybe
binkley can't handle the connect messages properly. I'll experiment a bit
more and see.



On the other hand it could just be that bodgie modem at you end. Get
yourself a decent one. Go for a Spirit Viper next time.
