Unfortunately, I don't have too much info on costs, but figure about $70-
80 for boat dives.  A couple of bucks for fills for shore diving.  The 
guidebook "A Diver's Guide to Maui" is excellent and widely available at 
dive shops on the island.
The dive boats I've worked with are Extended Horizons in Lahaina (e-mail 
Erik Stein at scuba@maui.net for info) and Ed Robinson's in Kihei (Ed 
Robinson at robinson@maui.net).  They are both wonderful!  I also dove 
with Dive Maui once and really enjoyed them.
