Well, that is a woolly [over the eyes!] way of figuring. I got lectured about
auto losses, when my 1953 10HP Ford was dynamometer tested in 1960. I sorta
yelled at the test engineer, when at full throttle the max power developed at
the rear wheels was *UNDER 10HP*.
He showed me test charts for other vehicles and convinced me that my donk was
in fine shape, and what goes into the carby is way way higher than what makes
it to the roadway!!
