Still trying to recall this critter exactly...
The Atari 8-bit computer had a "daisy chain" option, which allowed one to
hook up several devices to the computer. One of them was the 850 interface.
Is this what you're refering to? If so, there were 4 small ports on the front
of it, R1 thru R4. It also had a 15-pin connection for a "Centronics" (Epson)
printer.
I'm trying to also recall what the 820 was. If I recall correctly, that was
a 40-column printer?
