I love Linux. I have run OS/2 In the past I liked it as well too. I do
not know what kind of BBS support there is for Linux, probably a lot, but
nothing too recent I imagine. It handles disk swapping very well, and low
CPU-usage. I have been able to get all my dos stuff to work (minus sound)
in DOSEMU at full speed. I think the best thing to do would be to try it
out. Its Unix-like, so you are going to have a learn a whole other
ballgame. You control exact what you want in the OS. You even compile
your own kernels with only the drivers you need.. I would just say, check
it out.
