Unfortunately for Tandy, they weren't true clones.  Upgrading 
required purchasing most peripherals only fron Tandy.  From 
my experience, what they did was hard wire in jumpers, etc so 
that they only could work with a Tandy system.  Then they charged 
3x  or more the going rate for comparable clone merchandise.
