Regarding your RIAA reference, that is bogus. If a content provider =
chooses to secure its own content, it is up to them entirely to do so. =
If they issue licenses with their content, it is up to them to specify = to
where you must connect if at all to verify the license. If you don't =
like the content or the content provider, don't deal with them.
The user is in control. Mike Miller would like you to believe =
otherwise but it doesn't make it true. By Mike's reasoning when you =
access a web page the web browser makes unauthorized connections to = every
site in every external reference on that page. It doesn't matter = to Mike
that he explicitly initiated the action.
Mike has repeatedly demonstrated that he is the not type of person =
that cares and follows through but is instead the type of person that =
prefers to whine and lie. If he, or anyone case, really cared they = would
read the document at =
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000pro/maintain/w2km=
ngd/00_abstr.asp that spells out what communicates over the Internet = from
HyperTerminal to the Windows Time Service's use of NTP and how you =
configure these services and applications. It makes it more difficult =
for Mike Miller to spread FUD.

This, I believe, comes from M$'s "contract" with the RIAA I believe.
