G'day Niels,

Replying to a message of Niels Petersen to Jeff Green on 18-05-96:

NP> If Dave Hatch goes down (808) then we ALL become disconnected and
NP> would have to make alternative feeds. It's hard to decide to do this,
NP> as a dropout may only be for a few days and then resume again. If an
NP> alternative feed is set up then there are heaps of dupes when the
 NP> broken link is reconnected.

NP> It can be done, but lets hope Bave's now modified system keeps
 NP> living:-)

Wouldn't the seen-by lines take care of dupes? I thought that was what they
were for?

If a message already has a seen-by for 711/934, it wouldn't get tossed into
a packet for TML. That was my understanding of it anyway.
