KR> i see that hyundai have bought maxtor. i suppose that their KR> disk sizes will be in litres now (: Sheesh! It looks like Korea is making a real move into computers. Did you Brenton's note about Samsung making RAM in Texas? In spite of Bill's opinion on VCRs I like Korean engineering. They're tough and pragmatic. All Asian countries have the same problem; competing with China. Korean TV can't compete, their VCRs are now selling against "Jap" VCRs made offshore, and all that remains is the high end: computers in competition with Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. I'm waiting for the big price collapse. Korea has genuine muscle. And the Chinese are moving a lot faster in electronics than I thought they would... and a slower moving into cars. Interesting times... Regards, Bob ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 @EOT: ---* Origin: Precision Nonsense, Sydney (3:711/934.12) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
