Why disable retrains?  Bad move, Paul.  Believe me.

You do have the latest code, I hope?  The very early code was a bit trigger
happy with its retrains, but that was fixed at least two SDL releases ago.
That's the nice thing about flash-ROMs - simple, *free* updates.
