Absolutely! I absorb them too when I live in an area for a bit. My
childhood ¨accent was from Miami with a definitive Cubano soft 'slur' but
the faster ¨speach of the north. Several years in Virginia and later South
Carolina made ¨it overall 'suthern' if a bit faster than most. Give me a
beer or so and watch ¨me march speachwards well south of the mason-dixon
line!
