Wife only but I've seen some remarks regarding him here and there.
My chats with the wife were quite civil.

I'm fine with the one I've got offered up freeeware by some company like
Bremmer or some such. While list is is on diskette the 32 bit
Windows editor still sits on my two remaining Colorado backup
tapes. I can open 8 files at once with either the 16 or 32 bit
version and when you reopen it those files are still
there waiting for you unless you close them before exiting,
lots of extra features as well as supporting all the standard notepad
commands and shortcut keys. Thanks for the offer though.
Since the tape drive is already hooked up
I should copy EVERYTHING off of it onto the Quantum drive
today or tomorrow so as to retain it.

WC> BTW you were right two of those tapes failed, after

Yeah it's shame though.
I was able to fully recover off of one tape then attempted
formatting and backing up my recent files but it would not
accept formatting. A second tape failed as well.
Both faied tapes were problems formatting in the first place
so these were the weakest tapes. I've 2 more and will retrieve
from them today or tomorrow.

CA> Failed backups is one of the times I wish I was wrong. ;-)

I believe you tightened me up to the fact someone offered
a VCR type of tape backup but it was unreliable, small wonder
considering how people maintain ther VCR's.
Likely I could have successfully used such an arrangement
given how often I clean my VCR.
As a reult all my video's remain in excellent shape.
