hehe, i dunno...

 ml> ===== quote log =====
 ml> 227 Entering passive mode (192,168,1,4,243,78)

 SD> I'll note that in my announcements next time.

hummm... perhaps the following was missed??

450 No such file or directory.
    Automatic failover of data connection mode from "Passive Mode
(PASV)" to "Active Mode (PORT)".
    PORT 192,168,2,7,5,203

 SD> Try it again sans passive mode and you'll get through.

i did with the same results... 'cept this time is autofailovered from
active to passive... there are a few more settings that i might be able to
thump...

[time passes]

i've not found a combination that works... i'm assuming that 192.168.1.4 is
an address internal to your network... the other is one of mine...

i only have this problem with IREX ftp servers... no others...

my setup is (currently) double NAT'd, if that could possibly make any difference...

  'net -> OS2/Injoy dialer -> dlink router -> deeply internal boxes

it used to look like this...

  'net -> OS2/Injoy dialer -> linux router -> deeply internal boxes

pretty soon, it'll look like this...

                     .- orange-> DMZ'd boxes
  'net -> firewall -<
                     `- green -> internal boxes

luck would likely have it that the above one (coming soon) might correct
this "problem" but i won't know until i get it done... and then
there's the question of if i'll be able to SAMBA to the DMZ'd boxes like i
currently do...
