DW> any other ground breaking developments?
Back in the 1930's we had Henderson Bikes that had internal Drum
type brakes. If you really clamped down on those suckers and
had a lot of energy built up, you could actually twist off
the Axle Bolts.
DW> i see downhill has gotten ridiculous now...
You can say that again. I am very happy with my old Trek 800.
I just get on that sucker and go riding down the road, or
back in the Pasture of the Ranch where I live.
BA> I'll say! Last month's MOUNTAIN BIKER had an article on Rock ShoX's
BA> new DHO shock (Down Hill Only) with 100 millimeters of travel for a
BA> mere $1199.00
BA> That is for the SHOCK alone! Don;t forget that you nee to match it to
BA> a FULL-Suspension bike with similar rear travel. >YOUCH!< (Ka-Ching!)
Who can afford that expensive stuff?
DW> well at least biking is getting tv exposure (better
DW> than no exposure)... though they should have an awareness part at the
DW> begining of every race, maybe actualy improve mtb access... anyways,
DW> til next time...
All to the detriment of the eccology too. They are destroying
a lot of the countryside.
BA> While I agree that any exposure is better than none, I am not
BA> paprticularly impressed with seeing professional races on TV.
Right on.
